Capturing Moments: A Portfolio of My Journey

My name is Josephine Sylvie, and I was born on January 5, 2003, in the beautiful city of Nantes. I am 23 years old and come from a multicultural family that has shaped who I am today. My father is originally from Lebanon, while my mother is from South Korea. Both of my parents were immigrants who met in France and eventually fell in love, creating a strong and supportive family together. I am the youngest child and the only daughter in my family, growing up alongside my three older brothers who have always been protective and encouraging throughout my life.

The Beginning of My Journey

I spent the first twelve years of my life living in France, where I experienced a diverse culture and developed many childhood memories. In 2015, my family moved to Lebanon, where I continued my education and lived for five years. Living there allowed me to connect more deeply with my father’s culture and traditions while adapting to a completely different environment. In 2019, at the age of sixteen, I moved to the United States and attended high school in Washington, D.C. Adjusting to life in America was challenging at first, but it also opened many opportunities for me academically and personally.

Education has always been one of my biggest priorities. I pursued a career in healthcare because I have always wanted to help people and make a positive difference in their lives. In 2025, I graduated with a nursing degree from University of Pennsylvania and became a registered nurse. Currently, I am working as an RN while continuing my studies to become a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) at UC Davis School of Medicine. Although balancing work and school can be difficult, I am passionate about my future career and motivated to achieve my goals.

Outside of my professional and academic life, I enjoy gaming and creating online content. I frequently stream games such as Fortnite and Grand Theft Auto V roleplay servers on platforms like Twitch and TikTok. I am also active on Instagram, where I create lifestyle and gaming-related content for my followers. Social media has allowed me to express my creativity, connect with people around the world, and share parts of my life and personality beyond my career in healthcare.
